Just like swim drills help you to improve your swimming, cycling drills help you to become a better cyclist. We offer group workouts in both indoor and outdoor cycling depending on the time of the season.
VIRTUAL AND SATELLITE INDOOR CYCLING (November-mid-March):
One of the best places to practice technique and cycling drills is by doing indoor training. Our indoor cycling program takes place Nov-March. Athletes ride their own bikes and use a trainer while logging into Zoom for the coached ride. The controlled environment of a trainer allows you to isolate and concentrate on specific areas of cycling fitness and technique. This can lead to rapid improvements in riding technique as the isolated environment allows you to concentrate on specific skills without distraction. With mild winters in Richmond, on Saturdays we take the bikes off the trainers and ride outdoors for a fun group ride.We offer two options for our indoor cycling program:
OUTDOOR CYCLING (March-October):
This cycling session is a fast paced workout that includes drills, intervals, hills, chases, technique and intensity. These workouts are designed to challenge all levels from novice to advanced athletes. This workout will challenge your muscles, your aerobic system, raise your lactate threshold and boost performance. Sessions take place at our location in West Creek Parkway and riders will ride on the road. There is also the option for our beginner cyclists to stay in the 1⁄4 mile loop of the parking lot to practice drills, safety and technique before moving out to the road.
